It's Been A Long Time

I apologize to those who read my blog for the length of time since my last post. Things have been busy around our house - or should I say houses. Since my last post, we have moved our family of three to a new house, in a new city, in a new state. We are still not completely settled - boxes are still in several rooms of the house; I'm not sure it is possible to get them all unpacked, but we will try. In the midst of our move, Levi has gotten another month closer to turning two. It is hard to believe how fast the time is flying.

Here are some of the highlights since my last post. Levi went to his first sprinkler park on 6-5. He was not too sure of it at first.

Then he thought it would be okay, only if he was holding either my hand or Audry's.

Once he finally loosened his grip on our hands, we showed him two sprinklers that didn't shoot water too high and that he could kick and touch. He finally got adventurous enough to try it himself.

You can hear and see all the other kids having bunches of fun, but Levi was still rather timid.

That night, Levi at his first corn on the cob.

Yes, he really ate it off the cob! It was amazing.

Then, Levi had Levi Camp with Audry and my parents, while Kevin dealt with the movers as they packed up our old house and I worked. Then we both dealt with the movers in our new house for the day until Levi came home to us. He has adjusted really well to the new house. However, bath times have been a bit challenging in his new bathroom. For some reason, he always seems to have the hardest times dealing with new bathtubs.

At the new house, Levi figured out one thing that he really loves - dancing to the washing machine.

I took Monday off to go with Levi to his first dentist appointment. He did really well until the hygienist tried to squirt water into his mouth and suck it out. That didn't go well at all. After that, Kevin dropped me off at work to get my new badge while he and Levi went to see the geese around the lake. Levi really liked seeing the geese. He was worn out, but I tried to push him to take a little bit later nap. It didn't work too well.

Kevin's birthday was Tuesday, and we went to dinner with my sisters and brother-in-law. It was bunches of fun. Levi really likes Mexican food. Kevin had requested a very specific design for his cake, and he was very pleased when he got it. Those pictures will be on his Facebook page soon.
So all in all, we're doing well: enjoying our new home and really hoping that being completely unpacked is not a figment of our imagination.
