Last Day of School

Levi has had a wonderful teacher and class this year.  We will miss them this summer!  The school had a 3 and 4-year old Spring Program to celebrate the 4s graduating.

Levi was pretty excited to see himself on the big screen at church.

I will try to add a video in a week or so.  Blogger won't cooperate!

He was very excited to see his daddy also.  He also wanted to whole audience to know that his daddy was going to pick him up from school early and take him for pizza.

Mother's Day

Today, I opened a sweet email from Levi and Kara Jane's awesome caretaker.  She had put together a list of some of her favorite and memorable quotes from Levi.  Here are a few:

Levi: Do you know McDonalds?
Miss Aubrey: Yes.
Levi: It’s kinda like Old McDonald, but different because one’s old and one’s new. So,
there’s Old McDonald and New McDonald…. And did you know that New McDonald’s
has a slide?

Several days later, while walking from school to the parking lot….

Miss Aubrey: Levi, do you see my car? It is a Saturn.

At Christmas...A chef.

Around February...A teacher.  I want to be a teacher with Miss Ann (his teacher from last year) when I'm twelve.  Then I won't live with you anymore.

In May...A doctor.

Levi: I can't do that.  Four-year-olds can do that.

Kara Jane loves her big brother.  Anything Levi does or says often gets a giggle from her.  Sometimes even an honest to goodness laugh.

Fun Friday

Levi has had a GREAT week. When Audy asked if he could spend the night with "the boys" on Friday, I thought it would be a fun treat for him and a wonderful reward for his awesome behavior.

Levi was a little excited.


That left Kara Jane and I home by ourselves - Kevin is in Augusta with his mom while she recovers from surgery. I tried to take a picture of KJ so you could see BOTH of her bottom teeth - the second one began to poke through yesterday. Unfortunately you can't really see them. I really did try!!


Last weekend, we visited a sports store. Levi LOVES to putt on the putting greens. Kara thought it was fun to CLIMB onto the putting green. Her first climbing experience. Tonight, we practiced some more. She was very timid the first two times tonight, but by the third she acted like an old pro. (Please note that I was right next to her in case she became unstable on the cushion.)

Something Old, Something New

Old: Kara Jane finally got to wear this little dress that was mine - or one of my sisters - or most likely all three of ours.  The pictures aren't great, but you can still see how cute she is.  
 

New: In this picture, you can sort-of tell that she's got her tongue on her gums.  That's because she had a tooth finally break through this weekend.  Her first tooth at almost 11 months!!
 

Doc

Levi has a new favorite show (for the moment - he seems to go in phases).  It is Doc McStuffins.  It is a cute show, a little girly but cute.  On this particular Saturday while I was sweeping the floor, Kara Jane gave Doc her full attention as well.

A-Day Game 2012

Kara Jane had her first A-Day game experience. Well, she was with us last year - just couldn't see anything. ;-)


This year, we took a picnic lunch, and Collier joined us. What a treat!


Levi was excited to go to Auburn and the game again. He was especially excited when two of his great friends met up with us for lunch and play!


It was a hot day - and very sunny. Thankfully, Khaki volunteered to put Kara in the stroller and walk her around in the shade. Khaki and Q said that Kara Jane waved to everyone.

Levi really had fun trying to throw the football over the goal post. He made it at least twice.


I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Kara with the cheerleaders. She was enthralled with them and wouldn't look at me - or the camera. So, I thought this pic was pretty cute.


Levi also had a great time trying to get autographs from the football players on the football. At first he would just hang back. By the last autograph, he just wiggled his way to the front of the crowd and held up the football as high as he could.

Levi had so much fun playing with Q.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend, Levi, Kara Jane, and I went to Khaki and Q's. On Saturday, Q showed Levi a bird's nest with five eggs in it.





Easter morning, Levi and Kara got some special surprises.






We went to church with Khaki and Q. The sanctuary at their church was without power. It made for a very intimate and special service.

Levi was in quite a mood, and he did not want to take pictures at first.


He finally acquiesced.

Easter tradition is to have lunch at Aunt Kathy's. Great fun to see our family. I love getting pictures of Mama Rains with her great-grands.
