Kevin has told me a story that he used to sit on his potty reading or watching TV all day at his grandmother Billie's house. I think that's why he wanted to take this picture of Levi before Levi's bath.
We made a trip to the barber's shop this afternoon, too. Not sure if you can tell from this picture, but his hair is quite shorter.
Levi rarely wears a bib when he's at home, unless we're having spaghetti. Then, I'd rather have him wear coveralls then just a bib, but we do the best we can with what we have. On Sunday night, I made spaghetti, and Levi decided to ask to sit in a "big seat" for dinner. He's only asked to do this one or two times before. I was a bit hesitant because spaghetti can already be a rather messy meal but decided a mess really isn't a show stopper.
The experience wasn't nearly as messy as I had feared, although you can see that he did have some challenges with getting everything transferred from plate to spoon to mouth.
Today, Levi went to Mother's Day Out at our church. He loves to tell who he will see or has seen at church.
He learned that word a couple of weeks when his nana told him that he would see girls and boys at church when he went to MDO.
Levi turned 21 months on Tuesday. I am amazed everyday with what he's learning. He has started putting two - sometimes three - words together. Usually the pairing starts with "more" or "big".
Levi is a people person. He waves to people when we're at the store. He blows kissies to people when we leave. He likes to act shy at first when people acknowledge him, but then he will turn on the charm.
On Tuesday, Levi and I went to the high school to watch "Daddy's boys" play soccer. Levi did really well for a while just watching. He also had fun watching a ladybug crawl on me and then feeling a ladybug crawl over his arms and legs.
On Wednesday, Levi woke up to find one of his all-time favorite visitors - Audy! She had spring break this past week and came to stay with us for part of it. Levi is enthralled with her! They played hard everyday while Kevin and I were at work. The three of us went to another soccer game on Wednesday night. Levi was thrilled when Daddy took him onto the field during the time between the JV and Varsity. He even got a goal on one of Daddy's goalies! As seems to be my custom here lately, my camera was at home. Audry's camera wasn't rolling at that time.
This morning, Levi wore some new PJs from Khaki and Q. Audy and I thought they were adorable. Levi cheesed it up for this picture.
I loved this picture, because you can just see the adoration Levi has on his face for his Audy!
With the Masters starting this week, Levi was loving the Golf Channel even more than usual tonight. The channel was playing the Masters annual highlight DVDs. We happened upon the 2009 highlights before bed tonight. Levi already knows all about these highlight DVDs, because he got the 2004 highlights (Phil's first win at the Masters) for Christmas. He will watch it over and over on our trips to and from Alabama. Kevin claims to have the entire thing memorized because of this continuous loop.
Back to tonight, I attempted to capture some of Levi's excitement while he was watching the 2009 highlights.
He was actually more animated minutes before this clip. Who knew golf was so entertaining to anyone - let alone a 20-month old?!?!
Levi has started putting two words together: CC's house; more cheese. His vocabulary expands daily. His imagination is amazing. His hugs and kisses get sweeter and sweeter. He is so precious and such fun - usually. I will admit we had quite a challenge with him on Easter Sunday. He had gotten so tired from all the excitement the day before and that day being with his Audy, CC, Chris, Khaki, and Q - and then meeting more of my extended family - that he had a major meltdown. Kevin and I had to leave with him and drive around. He finally fell asleep and was like a new kid when we went back to my aunt's house. I am so thankful that they were all able to see Levi as the fun, cute, and smart little man that he is.
We were house hunting this past weekend again. With that distraction at the front of my mind, I left for the weekend without my camera - no pictures from Easter to share now. Sigh...
As a side note: we have come to a verbal agreement on a house in Alabama and are looking to close on June 4!
