Potty and Chapstick

Q decided to take Levi and his cousins to Auburn to see my cousin, Collier.  While Collier treated the boys to a tour of Auburn like they'll never forget, the girls had some fun of their own.

Kara Jane decided she wanted to try the potty and enjoyed the book Khaki and Q made of Liza Roo's adventures in Madison.

Liza Roo decided she'd be her happy self while she waited on big sister.  (Kara Jane did NOT actually go.)
We had our fun with lunch at CC and Chris's house.

Kara Jane opened my purse and made my Chapstick and my badge for work her own.

Liza Roo is Six Months

We tried rice cereal a few weeks ago with Liza Roo.  She hated it.  Now that she's six months old, we thought we'd try again.

Despite these faces, she actually did eat most of it and seemed to enjoy it.

Liza Roo is still a small baby, but she has been a blessed addition to our family.

Kara Jane in Gymnastics

Tonight was Kara Jane's third gymnastics class, but her first class in a leotard.  She was pretty excited about it.
There's a video on Facebook that shows some of her "talent" on the bars.  She's especially fond of telling us about her "toothpick" and that she can do a front roll.  She's also gotten much better and seems to enjoy the balance beam.

She patiently waited on the balance beam with the other girls in her class...

 for her stamp.  :-)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kara Jane (Party)

Yes, it was Kara Jane's birthday party, but how could I resist a picture of Liza Roo with her great-grandmother??
Kara Jane got fixed up with gifts.  New shoes from CC - jellies that are a little too big and silvery sandals that Kara Jane wanted to wear right then.
Here she is showing off her sandals, which she would NOT take off her feet the entire day - even slept in them for her nap.
Amidst the mess that was all the wonderful gifts - dresses, Minnie Mouse PJs, and that precious hat.  I think everyone knows what my little girl loves!  Oh, and a tea party set with a new table and chairs just for her and a guest.
She was pretty excited about another cupcake.

Yummy cupcake, CC.

Sugary mouth for a sugar sweet girl!
Kara Jane played tea party like she had had a tea set before.  It was so precious watching her fill tea cups and present them for others' enjoyment.

Card from Khaki and Q

Kara Jane got a Cinderella card from Khaki and Q.  She called to thank them and tried to "show" it to them.  So cute!  Oh, and the outfit was her pick.  A dress of course that is much too small, with a hat.  Pink, of course.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kara Jane

Kara Jane woke up to a gift at the table.
Her very own Piggy Paint.  I'm not sure if she was more excited about the Piggy Paint or the bag.  She carried both around with her for the entire day.
Levi requested cupcakes for Kara Jane's birthday breakfast.  I made muffins and put cream cheese mixed with strawberry preserves on top for icing.  :-)
She quickly blew out one candle, and then she acted like it scared her and was NOT too sure about trying to blow out candle #2.

She was not scared of eating the "cupcake" though.
Liza's venue for the birthday breakfast festivities.
Levi's fabulous hair for the morning fun.
Levi wanted to have a PJ morning for Kara Jane's birthday.  Kara Jane on the other hand had to already be wearing a dress.  Have I mentioned that I have a girly-girl on my hands?  The dresses don't stop her from playing, though.  Here are the two older monkeys playing in the little monkey's play area.
